the Utes went undefeated this year....that is amazing....the only thing bad about it is that the head coach (Urban Meyer)will probably go to a bigger school....I guess my hope of not going to Utah this winter has come to a crashing halt...I will be going on December 10th, it is only for a day or two but still....I guess we are going up to this monestary where these monks make honey, I went there once before and it's a real cool place, I'll only go if there is not a lot of snow, it's kind of up in the hills....I also get to go eat pizza....people think I'm crazy for thinking Salt Lake is the only place to get really good pizza. |

I went and voted last thursday (I voted for John Kerry if anyone cares) and they had these really cool touch screen voting machines, I have never seen one like that before. Anyway, I was driving home from school today listening to NPR and they were playing bits of speeches today from Kerry and Shrubbery. Shrub kept talking about staying the course and having a free democratic country.....I find this funny coming from a guy who thinks they should have an ammendment banning marriage between two people of the same sex. I guess I have a fucked up definition of free..... |

man am I tired....I have to switch shifts after this week, I go from weekday graveyard to weekend graveyard, so I have to work 7 straight graveyard shifts in a row, the 2 weekend ones are 12 hours each, but then I get a few days off, I hate this shift but it's only a month so it's not that bad I guess. It has been raining a lot lately so I have not been able to ride my scooter, I have been thinking about the color I want it painted, I think like olive green or something like that with some parts an off white or cream color....I don't know exactly, I change my mind every few days......last sunday I went and purchased tickets to see big bad voodoo daddy at the house of blues in a few weeks, I really dig this band, I'm looking forward to it....I sure will be happy when this election shit is over with, it seems like every week someone is here...bush, kerry, bush, kerry, bush's wife, kerry's kids.....who gives a fuck.....ralph nader has not been to town yet....it's cold and my feet hurt, I think I'll go take a bath.... |

damn, I have not had anytime for anything. I have been taking a baking class at school, I never knew there were so many different types of flour. I had planned on doing a lot of studying this past weekend, then my parents showed up, so there went the studying out the window. Sierra (the 10 year old) got accepted to some program through school (it's nation wide I think) and I guess sometime next year she is going to go to England and Scotland, of course my parents are going to pay for it (they offered, I didn't ask them. I really think it's cool that Salt Lake is going to have a major league soccer team, I guess I will have to make a trip or two to visit my parents so I can go see them play. I really like the fact that there is a trax stop right by rice stadium so I don't have to drive and park. The weather here is getting really nice, it's been about 85 - 90. Kelsey tried out for on honors orchestra and some other orchestra at school and didn't make either of them. I think it was good she didn't, in Michigan she made everything she tried out for and was kind of catered to, she had a really big ego. Here she has competition and has to practice more, but she is only in 9th grade so all she has to do is practice and try again next year. |

god political debates are boring....it's just 2 straight hours of everything you have been seeing on the news for 6 months....The U.S. is in sad political shape....what ever happened to the politicians that gave a fuck? hell, maybe none of them ever did. |

I have been really tired lately...with nothing to say really...I went and got my scooter registered saturday morning, it cost $46.50, that plus $180 a year for insurance.....and 50 - 60 mpg= cheap transportation.....the other day I posted about my scooter breaking down on my way to work, well I got looking at it the next day and it wasn't the belt, but the damn spark plug came out of the engine...I don't know how in the hell that happened, nothing was stripped or anything. I put it back in, started it up and rode it...since then it has done the same thing 2 or 3 times and I can't figure the damn thing out.... |

I'm working overtime tonight so I decided to ride my scooter to work tonight to see how it was running. I was cruising down the 215 about 60 when mr. scooter made a noise when I engaged the throttle but it was going slower and slower....I pulled over and did not see anything leaking, so I think I broke the drive belt....that sucks, but what can you do..... |

I don't even know how many hours I have gone without sleep. I look and see little dots all over the place.
honda released a new scooter in Japan a few months ago called ps250. Damn, it's cool I would buy one if they started selling it in the U.S. go here and look at it.

also, the other night started the new episodes of bands reunited on vh1. This is actually a cool show, I like to see what some of these people are up to these days..but the best ones are when the band does not want to get back together one more time...The frankie goes to hollywood episode was good but todays episode where 3 out of 5 new kids on the block refused to do it was really cool. The one I'm really looking forward to is the english beat on thursday, man they were a cool band...goodtimes.... |

yesterday I have officially lived in Las Vegas for 1 year. Today I got the oil leak on my scooter fixed, kind of cleaned the garage and got my motorcycle ready to start overhauling the engine and getting it fixed up to ride, hopefully in a year it will be working.....maybe less... |

the other day I got an email from ebay that said my account had been suspended until I update some information. I went to the website and something didn't seem right....instead of www.ebay.com it had an ip address. I went to the ip address and it was some korean web page, so I didn't enter my credit card # and SS# that it asked for and emailed ebay to see if it was real. They said my account was not suspended. Today someone changed the password and email adress on my ebay account and listed a shit load of stuff for sale. I talked to someone at ebay and got it all fixed. That is the first time anything like that has happened. School was good today, we got all our cooking done on time (for once) and it was damn good. I have noticed that our classes food tastes better than the past 2 classes, some of their meat was closely related to shoe leather. 2 more nights of graveyard then I'm on swing shift....goodtimes... |

3 more nights of this graveyard shift left....then it's 3 - 11 pm, not so bad I guess. I'm really tired tonight. I have been noticing what rip off auto/motorcycle dealers are. I need to get a washer for my scooter (it has to be this special washer), I got the part # for it and looked on the site I usually order stuff from and it was .35, not a bad price but they charge $8.00 to ship it (what a rip off), so I called the dealer and they have them in stock but they are .90, I'm just going to go buy about 5 or 6 of them so I have them on hand, then when I order something from this online place, I'll just order a few washers also, but damn, it's over twice the price as the other one... |

I am so tired, I can hardly keep my eyes open. After school I decided to go get Kelsey from her bus stop (it's like 1/2 mile or so away), I got to the bus stop at 2:45, it got there at 4:15...After I got home I could not sleep, so here I am up for nearly 24 hours. Today in school I made a damn fine roasted chicken and I roasted lamb, which was mighty tasty. Nathan finally went to the doctor yesterday to see what they thought about him having ADHD, and he got a perscription for some sort of new medicine that he will start to take this weekend, I guess he was giving the doctor this death glare and the only thing he would say during the appointment was "I better get a sucker", he did get one, but he's not happy about taking having to take medicine. The doctor said that 80% of doctors and scientist have ADHD (even him), so it's going to be interesting to see how this turns out. He asked about the other kids and said that Sierra should start going to the therapist also, because she sounds like she has it also, he said females are air heads (all her past school teachers say she is in her own little world), he also said they are usually obsessed with one thing (all she talks about are cats), so I guess she will start by talking to the shrink and go from there. The doctor also described my brother exactly, all the way from having a science based job all they way to his alcoholism.....I need some tea before I fall asleep. |

this teacher I have for my current cooking class is hard core. She had this boiling sauce on the stove and didn't have a spoon to taste it so she put her finger in it to taste it. Maybe it's just me but I would not stick my finger in boiling liquid. I always heard that Las Vegas had high electricity and water bills. My last electricity bill was like $261 which is kind of high, but not as high as some people say theirs are and my water bill was $14.49, water was more expensive in Michigan where they have tons of water and it rains a lot. |

I took last friday off work and went to california for the weekend. It took me about 5 minutes driving around newport beach to decide that I'm going to go to the beach one weekend a month, man I have not had that much fun getting sunburnt in a long time.....I was going to take my camera but I forgot it. We went to newport beach one day then corona del mar the next day. I think corona del mar is the beach just south of newport....anyway, it was the most beautiful beach I have ever seen (not that I have seen a lot of beaches). It only took about 4 hours to get there from Las Vegas (3 hours to my aunts house, 1 hour to the beach). Next year, I'm going to hit San Diego and try some beaches around Oxnard (North of L.A. I think). I got some really cool turn signals and tail lights for my scooter off ebay, I cant wait to get all the parts I have installed. Started a new class at school today, we are actually cooking now (today we started stock). I was watching a show about Shane Macgowan on IFC the other day, that guy makes some of the best music I have ever heard, I am so happy I got a chance to see him when I lived in Detroit. |
